This Cookie Policy explains how Beenokle ("we", "our", or "us") uses cookies and similar technologies to recognize you when you visit our websites, applications, or use our services (collectively, the "Services"). It explains what these technologies are and why we use them, as well as your rights to control our use of them.

Note: This English version is provided for convenience only. In case of any inconsistency or conflict, the Russian version shall prevail.

2. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small data files that are placed on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. Cookies are widely used by website owners in order to make their websites work, or to work more efficiently, as well as to provide reporting information.

Cookies set by the website owner (in this case, Beenokle) are called "first-party cookies". Cookies set by parties other than the website owner are called "third-party cookies". Third-party cookies enable third-party features or functionality to be provided on or through the website (e.g., advertising, interactive content, and analytics). The parties that set these third-party cookies can recognize your computer both when it visits the website in question and also when it visits certain other websites.

3. Why Do We Use Cookies?

We use first-party and third-party cookies for several reasons. Some cookies are required for technical reasons in order for our Services to operate, and we refer to these as "essential" or "strictly necessary" cookies. Other cookies and browser-storage entries help us understand how our Services are used and make them better; analytics runs in our own system and only with your consent. Counting visits without cookies (section 7.4) runs without consent: it writes nothing to your browser and recognises no one. We do not use third-party analytics or advertising cookies.

Because these cookies are strictly necessary to deliver the Services, you cannot refuse them without impacting how our Services function.

3.2 Performance and Functionality Cookies

These cookies are used to enhance the performance and functionality of our Services but are non-essential to their use. However, without these cookies, certain functionality may become unavailable.

3.3 Analytics and Customization Cookies

These cookies collect information that is used either in aggregate form to help us understand how our Services are being used or how effective our marketing campaigns are, or to help us customize our Services for you in order to enhance your experience.

We do not use advertising or social media cookies.

You have the right to decide whether to accept or reject cookies. You can exercise your cookie preferences through our cookie consent tool when you first visit beenokle.ru. The Beenokle account (accounts.beenokle.ru) uses no optional cookies, so it asks for no consent (section 7.5).

You can also set or amend your web browser controls to accept or refuse cookies. If you choose to reject cookies, you may still use our Services though your access to some functionality and areas may be restricted. As the means by which you can refuse cookies through your web browser controls vary from browser to browser, you should visit your browser's help menu for more information.

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time in order to reflect, for example, changes to the cookies we use or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. Please therefore re-visit this Cookie Policy regularly to stay informed about our use of cookies and related technologies.

We use our own analytics: data is processed in Beenokle Accounts (accounts.beenokle.ru) on our own servers in Russia and is not shared with third-party analytics systems. On beenokle.ru these keys are written only if you consent to analytics cookies. The account does not write them (section 7.5). You can switch analytics off at any time in the cookie settings (link at the bottom of the page); collection stops and the identifiers are deleted from your browser.

Beenokle Dos stores no identifier on your device for its usage record: the device is known by your sign-in, and signed out, events go under the number of a visit that lives only in the app's memory. Earlier versions of Beenokle Dos and Beenokle Model, until they update, keep a visit number (beenokle.dos.usage-session.v1) and a note that statistics were switched off (beenokle.dos.usage-off.v1, beenokle-model:usage-off); new versions delete them.

7.4 Counting visits without cookies

To know how many people come to our sites and web apps (beenokle.ru, Beenokle Dos, Beenokle Model, ZenWriter, the account cabinet) and from where, every page you open sends one message to Beenokle Accounts: the page address (without parameters or record numbers), the site you came from, and the link's tags. Installer downloads are counted on the download server. Nothing is written to your browser for this — no cookies, localStorage or sessionStorage. From the IP address and the browser string the server derives the country, city and device type and discards them at once; the visitor key is computed anew every day and means nothing the next day, so it cannot identify you. These records are kept for 25 months. The basis is our legitimate interest in knowing how many people come to our sites; see the Privacy Policy.

7.5 Your Beenokle account

Since October 11, 2026, the Beenokle account (accounts.beenokle.ru) runs no analytics that recognises a visitor and keeps in your browser only what signing in, security and your settings need, so it shows no cookie consent request. Visits to the account are counted without cookies (section 7.4); signing in and signing up are recorded by the server. Keys left by the earlier version of the account (_ba_anon_id, _ba_sid, cookie_consent_v2) are removed the next time you open it.
